Homelessness Support Worker
£12.50ph
Exeter
Contract until March 2024
The Role:
Actively monitor the health, wellbeing, safety and security of the service and clients, through regular checks; ensuring all concerns are followed up promptly and in line with procedures.
Encourage clients to access meaningful activities and opportunities for peer support.
Ensure new client's are welcomed and inducted into the service and are familiar with the area , local facilities and other services.
Assess,plan, deliver and review person-centred support plans which empower clients to progress towards their goals and greater independence
Support client's and the Housing Management Officer to ensure timely payment of rent and service charge, beliefs and motivationsAbout the service:
The services are for people who have a recent history of homelessness that are moving on from first stage accommodation. These clients have led complex lives and may have experienced or still be experiencing, trauma, mental ill-health, substance misuse, domestic abuse and may be involved with diverse service providers.
DBS on the update service is essential as this role is to start within the next few weeks.
Driving liscence is essential due to travel required between services
