Job Description
SUMMARY:
The goal of Families First’s Behavioral Health Department is to provide skilled and appropriate clinical services that contributes to the well-being and success of children and families.  Clinical Team Lead (CTL) will be assigned to serve as division leader or team leader within the Families First Behavioral Health Department.  The lead role will be assigned by the Clinical Director and report directly to the Behavioral Health Program Manager.
The CTL may be assigned to the Assessment Unit, Clinical Quality & Compliance, Internship Program, Management Team, Resiliency Model of Care, and other programs and projects as needed.
 
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The CTL will hold senior clinician appointment with the responsibility to lead a unit, team, and/or special projects.  CTL unit assignment will be indicated by the Clinical Director and will be supervised by the BHD Manager.  The following accountabilities are expected by a CTL:
Independently manage working schedule
Apply leadership in the assigned area of focus
Maintain a professional and positive relationship with your team
Lead by example in maintaining clinical and administrative documentation
Serve as professional coach and mentorship of your team
Leadership based on measurable objects
The CTL will function as an independently licensed clinician with all clinical privileges granted by the state of Georgia and   may be asked to complete any one or more of the following clinical assignments:
Assessments: designed to determine the mental health needs of the individual, couple, and/or family and to recommend a course of action.
Individual Therapy:Adult
Child
Family Therapy
Couples Therapy
Group Therapy
Treatment Planning
Discharge Planning
COMPETENCIES:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent electronical clinical or medical record (ECR/EMR) ability.
Strong organizational and planning skills as evidenced by meeting deadlines, following through on assignments, delivering high quality products, and providing adequate time for consensus-building, especially review, feedback and approval.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to function independently and in concert with other staff and supervisors.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel
Systems:  Understanding of the Bio-Psychosocial Approach, Engagement and Advocacy. 
Professionalism:  Understanding of Diversity, Boundaries, Ethics, Self-assessment and Self care
Relationships:  Demonstrates Inter-professionalism-can work in a team environment, build rapport with clients.
Application:  Assessment and Intervention skills, Treatment Planning, as well as Practice Management i.e., uses time well, consistent/quality documentation, etc.
Education:  Understanding of how to incorporate theories and clinical models
GENERAL DUTIES
The following list of duties is expected of Clinical Team Lead.  The Clinical Team Lead is an independently licensed clinician with leadership responsibilities.  The CTL may hold a clinical caseload and serve as leader of a team, unit, or division within the Behavioral Health Department. Families First Behavioral Health Manager may assign tasks and projects outside the clinician’s regular duties. Duties are not limited to the following list and tasks may be added by management to support professional growth of the CTL.  The CTL shall be prepared to function as a holistic practitioner and leader that:
Applies the clinical functions that…
Assist in the assessment of mental health and social challenges of individuals, families, and couples within a diverse demographic population that includes adults, children, youth, and advanced aged.
Will compose a treatment plan based on the client’s needs, requests, results of psychometrics, and diagnostic impressions.  The treatment plan must include psychosocial resiliency objectives based on FFRNS-14 results.
Use empirically accepted psychotherapeutic methods to treat psychological, emotional, and social challenges.  The clinician may consult with program manager to determine if method is permitted by Families First.
Reviews the treatment plan and assesses objective status to revise plan of care.
Maintains and insures organized clinical records. 
Plans discharge plans based on successful objectives.
Versed in applying resiliency building tasks in addition to other psychosocial objectives.
Maintain license and updates on policies and functions of clinical privileges.

Clinician will be required to be on site at least (2) two days a week.
Applies leadership to a team, project, or unit.
Reviews team performance and quality of care.
Signs off on clinical documentation of team.
Assist in the business management of the unit including operations, budget, monitoring, and growth.
Is the “go-to” person for assistance and guidance of the unit or team.
Is the subject expert matter of the unit or team.
