The Position:
Electrical and mechanical assembly of packaging machines and their subsequent tools.  Facilitating effective collaboration with successful information flow throughout each project while supporting the organization and build-up of machine assembly at US plant.
 Job Duties:
Assembly of packaging machines and format tools at the Somic facility based on the technical documents provided.
Unloading of truck or sea freight container
Uncrate and unpack machine and all parts.
Staging of parts
Helping on endurance runs
Put together format tool carts and align format tools according to drawings.
Assembly and levelling of machines and conveyors
Running and connection of electrical wires and cables
Running and connection of pneumatic hoses
Electrical and pneumatic installation subassemblies and components (according to drawings)
Installation of subassemblies and components (according to drawings)
Ensuring high quality standards
Optimizing installation procedures
Making sure that assignments are performed correctly and on time.
Ensuring machine safety and quality gate requirements are being met.
Ensuring complete documentation of the assembly process
Responsibility for the execution of the machine assembly together with the Lead Assembly Technician and Assembly Operations Manager at the US plant
Requirements
Industrial, electrical, and mechanical experience or similar technical training
Experience working with technical documents and drawings.
Experience with machine installation is highly desirable.
Experience in working with pneumatic wiring desirable.
Capable to work with 2D and 3D drawings.
Must be reliable and accurate.
Capable to work with electrical drawings.
Forklift experience preferred.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Ability to work independently and be solution oriented.
Strong commitment to high quality standards
Must be able to read, speak and write in English.
