Requirements:
Spearhead intricate or pivotal initiatives in database management, spanning multiple disciplines and business units, encompassing database architecture, design, integration, and data modeling.
Provide top-tier technical proficiency in planning, researching, implementing, maintaining, and governing server-class databases.
Evaluate and scrutinize complex database technologies, necessitating deep analysis of various factors, including intangibles or novel elements.
Architect and validate next-generation database technologies.
Aid in database deployments, offering troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Propose enhancements to address web application processing challenges and refine design.
Engage with diverse client groups to deliver strategic solutions, shaping long-term internal and enterprise-level database architecture and management strategies.
Offer technical leadership and insight into the future trajectory of database technology.
Collaborate and advise peers, colleagues, and management to tackle challenges and attain objectives.
Experience:
Establishing and maintaining a MongoDB Ops Manager environment.
Implementing Kerberos and/or LDAP for MongoDB authorization and authentication.
Supporting MongoDB databases distributed across multiple data centers. Managing MongoDB Shards.
Proficiency in Pearl and/or Java scripting.
Executing backup and restoration of MongoDB databases through LVM snapshots and Ops Manager backups.
Crafting MongoDB Schema using Mongos.
Configuring and optimizing MongoDB system parameters.
Utilizing MongoDB Ops Manager effectively.
Working with Jira and Agile methodologies.
Additionally:
Comprehensive grasp of MongoDB high availability (HA) strategies, including replica sets.
Profound understanding of Replication and HA strategies.
Experience with Terraform/Ansible.
Required Qualifications (US): 5+ years of experience in Database Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
