Laser Operator

Wentworth James Group are seeking a skilled and experienced Laser Setter/Operator who is proficient in operating Bystronic machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, and operating laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality metal components.

Working Hours:

Day shift - 7am - 4pm

AM / PM Rotating - 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm

Nights - 10pm - 6am

Key Responsibilities:

Laser Machine Operation: Operate and monitor Bystronic laser cutting machinery to cut, shape, and profile metal components according to specifications provided.

Machine Setup and Maintenance: Set up and configure the laser cutting equipment, ensuring proper alignment and calibration. Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal machine performance and troubleshoot any operational issues that may arise.

Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications. Inspect finished products for defects, and make adjustments as necessary to maintain high-quality standards.

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Identify and address any potential safety hazards related to laser cutting operations.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including job setups, material usage, and quality inspections. Report any issues, delays, or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality in laser cutting operations
