Job Purpose

Are you a skilled professional in the fields of electronics, electrical systems, or instrumentation? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and quality? We are looking for an experienced EC&I Craftsperson to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in repairing, maintaining, and calibrating Radiation Protection instruments and associated equipment, ensuring we meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance. 

Key Responsibilities

Prioritize safety by working in strict accordance with all safety, quality, security, environmental, and site-specific instructions, and requirements.
Your vigilance in following these guidelines will help maintain a safe working environment for you and your colleagues.
Take charge of repairing, maintaining, calibrating, and testing Radiation Protection Instruments. Your expertise will ensure that we meet customer demands efficiently and accurately, maintaining the reliability and functionality of our instruments.
Follow detailed maintenance instructions and accurately record all relevant information. Your attention to detail will help maintain precise and reliable records, crucial for operational transparency and compliance.
Regulatory Compliance: Conform local procedures, rules, and working practices to ensure full compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Your adherence to these standards will help uphold the integrity and reputation of our services.
Provide clear and concise technical advice, updates on work progress, and other relevant information to customers as required. Your communication skills will help foster strong customer relationships and ensure their needs are met effectively.
Act as a mentor for team members, including apprentices and new entrants. By sharing your knowledge and experience, you will help maintain high standards and best practices within the team, contributing to the professional development of your colleagues.
Identify and propose improvements and innovations in service provision to enhance efficiency and quality. Your proactive approach will help implement these improvements promptly, driving the continuous enhancement of our services.
Experience/Qualifications/Skills

Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent training in relevant disciplines such as Electronic, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Technology fields.
A minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent (at Grade C or above), including English and a Science subject, with Maths at a minimum Grade B.
Proven experience in servicing electronic instrument systems, demonstrating your technical competence and reliability.
A strong knowledge and understanding of conventional and nuclear safety, showcasing your ability to operate safely and effectively in various environments.
