Aspire People working with a mainstream primary school in central Manchester who are seeking teaching assistants to support PMLD students at a Special Needs provision.

You will be working 1:1 and in small groups with students with complex needs. The students will need support in engaging with their specialised provision. You will need to be able to foster strong relationships with the students and have a passion for supporting those with special needs.

The school are wanting to appoint the right candidate for the role which will be to start ASAP on a long-term basis Monday to Friday until the end of the academic with a potential of going permanent.

What Aspire People are looking for in a candidate:
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or a recent graduate who wants work experience within Special Educational Needs
* Experience of supporting pupils with SEN on a voluntary or paid basis OR/ experience of supporting those with complex needs in a care setting
* Strong teamwork ethic
* Driven, energetic and keen to pursue a career in education and special needs

The role will consist of:
* Providing tailored support and working with children with SEN and complex needs
* Personal care is involved
* Creating a safe environment that allows children and other students have fun, learn and succeed
* Academic support

All candidates who register with Aspire People will have 2 years referencing taken up and will be required to have an enhanced DBS check completed and must be on the update service.
