THE ROLE
Procurement of subbies, tracking project variations, assisting the estimating team, site visits.
REPORTING TO
Company and Operation Directors
Key Duties & Full Role Description:
* Provide commercial management on Projects and deliver tender margin-plus with effective cost and value management.
* Supply chain management and payment to ensure programme is maintained and buying opportunities are maximised.
* Assist Estimating and Operations with developing bid submissions.
* Procurement of resources to meet programme and ideally tender.
* Forecasting and cost/value reporting
Person Specification:
* Excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate with people at all levels within the organisation.
* Proficient in MS Office and digitally competent.
* Self-motivated and with a high level of professionalism.
* The ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks at the same time.
* Be able to work efficiently in a team as well on their own.
Experience / Licenses:
* Experience in RC Basements and Frames, Groundworks, Civil Engineering and Hard Landscaping for the Commercial, Residential, Industrial and Retail sectors. (Required)
* At least 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying without a Higher level qualification in Quantity Surveying
* At least 3 years of experience in Quantity Surveying with a Higher level qualification in Quantity Surveying
* SMSTS / SSSTS (Required)
