Field Data Centre Engineer - Chelmsford
Service Provider seeking a Data Centre Engineer to join a small, yet well-established technical team. They predominately provide data centre services across the UK to a range of different clients across banking, retail and legal. Services include DC migrations, support, auditing, DC rollout/refresh/deployment etc.
Duties include;
* Lifecycle support: Equipment & connectivity auditing, install, moves & changes,
* Relocation, decommissioning & disposal, patching, troubleshooting
* Managed data centre cervices - Data centre migration, capacity management,
* Rollout & deployment
* Infrastructure - structured cabling, rack deployment & aisle containment, wireless
Requirements:
* Previous experience working within data centre environments
* Experience of hardware, cable and connection auditing.
* Proven record of IT support/breakfix hardware/cabling/cable troubleshooting.
* Practical, hands on, individual as this is a field based skilled role
* Good communicator both written and verbally
* Recent experience of copper and fibre structured cabling in data centre and commercial
* environment would be advantageous
* Possess a Full clean UK driving licence.
Salary £35,000 - £45,000 plus excellent benefits
