Specialist Support Worker - Adults with Learning Disabilities - Llanelli
Are you a passionate, dedicated Specialist Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Specialist Support Worker to join a team based in Llanelli.
Umbrella Rate: £15.42 per hour
Duration: 3 months initially
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm, 37 hrs/week
Specialist Support Worker role: Full JD Available
Provide care and support to Adults with Learning Disabilities
Enable service users to engage in a range of internal and external activities and opportunities to achieve agreed goals and objectives as stated in their care plan
Implement a range of health provision and personal care for service users with complex needs including Peg Feeding & Medication etc.
Ensure a caring and enabling environment that respects and promotes the dignity and independence of the service users
Demonstrate patience, caring and understanding
Act as an advocate for each service user to ensure their individual rights and choices are met
Raise an concerns immediately to your line manager
Work as part of a team with a range of professionals and other services and develop effective relationships with service users’ parents/carers in the local community
Accurately record relevant documentation
Essential Requirements
Commitment to undertake QCF Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults) within 2 years
Knowledge and understanding of the differing needs and abilities of people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex needs
Ability to support service users and act as advocate to communicate individuals needs effectively
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good written and verbal communication skills
Enhanced Adult DBS registered to the update service
