Project Engineer (Substation)

Substation Project Engineer required for a major transmission system operator based in Belgium

Responsibilities

Work in close collaboration with the Project Leader and with fellow Project Engineers. The Project Engineer has a technical focus, the Project Leader an organizational focus within a project.
Actively involved in the entire project process, from feasibility study (conceptual) to project closure. You are a key figure between the design team, the technical experts and the Project Leader.
Contribute to the technical elaboration of the scope and design of the projects, where you will conduct various preparatory technical studies.
During the detailed study, you supervise the design team and ensure that the studies are carried out qualitatively and according to the agreed scope.
During the implementation phase, you will assist the Project Leader with technical support.
Communicate and report on the progress of the project.Requirements

Master's degree in electrical engineering or electromechanics or equivalent through experience and strong interest in engineering
Technical experience within the high-voltage domain is a plus.
Perfect knowledge of Dutch or French. Knowledge of the other national language is an important asset.
Interest in the energy sector
Strong sense of responsibility, strong organizational talent.
Communication skills with a smooth assertiveness and who are customer-oriented.
Good teamwork with a good dose of ingenuity
