Senior Care assistant

Our client provides provides outstanding Residential and EMI Residential care within a beautiful care home in Wainfleet, a small market town just off the east coast of Lincolnshire.

2 x Senior care assistants required / Nights / 10 hours, 9pm to 7am

30 min break with 3/4 shifts a week / 40 hours a week

£11.84 per hour.

NVQ 2 required
Medication training essential
Liaise with the Manager to ensure staff are deployed effectively
To assist the Manager in ensuring care records are maintained appropriately, to include completing, observing, reviewing and updating person centred care plans ensuring that residents receive the best care appropriate to their needs. 
To participate in resident’s formal care review meetings as required
 To supervise staff monitoring their performance to ensure the required standards are maintained
Respond to requests from residents either by staff alert or other means of communication in a positive, polite and helpful manner
 To ensure by direct involvement and support of other staff that resident care is implemented in accordance with the residents’ care needs and through reference to their care plan
To administer and supervise medication to residents in accordance with the Home’s policies and procedures. 
Participate in the training of care staff. 
To report any incidents, occurrences or complaints to the Manager and record appropriately 
To attend supervision and appraisal meetings as required. 
To undertake other duties which may be required and which are applicable to the post
