Learning Support Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one support to students with diverse learning needs.
Collaborate with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt instructional materials accordingly.
Assist in creating an inclusive and positive atmosphere within the classroom.
Work closely with teaching staff to address the needs of students and facilitate their engagement in lessons.
Support in monitoring and assessing the academic progress and social development of students.
Maintain accurate records of student achievements and challenges.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and other Learning Support Assistants.
Participate actively in team meetings and contribute ideas to enhance the overall learning experience.
Foster positive communication with students, teachers, and parents to ensure a supportive network for each learner.
Provide regular updates on student progress to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is advantageous.
Relevant qualifications in education or special education.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable to different learning styles.
Ability to follow instructions from teaching staff and work effectively within a team
