The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Slough area. We are looking for multiple 7.5 Tonne Drivers (CAT C1) to join the team.
Hours: Monday to Friday with occasional weekends available, 8am until approximately 5pm.
Pay Rate: £16.55 per hour PAYE.
Location: Slough, SL3
Job Type: Temporary to permanent.
The role:
*
Up to 50 stops per day, including deliveries and collections (commercial and residential).
*
Handling bulk deliveries with a mix of handball, tail lift, and pump truck work.
*
Ensuring timely and safe transportation of parcels.
*
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
*
Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
*
Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
Requirements:
*
Full UK driving licence with 7.5 Tonne entitlement (category C1).
*
Proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
*
Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
*
No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
*
Have the ability to pass a driving assessment.
*
Full understanding of WTD legislation.
*
Excellent communication skills.
*
