Major Incident Room – HOLMES Supervisor
Location: Exeter Police Station
Salary: Grade 7 - Starts at £34,968 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £39,036 per annum
The Role
The Police are looking for a Major Incident Room Supervisor who will be based within Exeter Police Station. Devon and Cornwall Police have 4 Major Incident Rooms, with each being led by an M.I.R. Supervisor.
The successful applicant will manage a small team of police staff performing various roles within the M.I.R. primarily around homicide investigation. Whilst being based in Exeter, applicants should note that they may be required to support enquiries arising across the whole Force area and there may be a need to work outside of the Exeter area.
The role requires close working relationships with colleagues on the Major Crime Investigation Team – you will be part of the Police team entrusted to investigate some of the most serious crime within Force.
Skills and Qualifications
The successful applicant is ideally a focused, self-motivated individual with proven supervisory skills and experience of crime investigation.
In addition, the successful applicant should be able to show:
1. Knowledge / Experience of using the HOLMES computer system in support of major crime investigation
2. Has, or has previously attained, PIP level 2
