Battery Systems BMS Engineer

Our client, an iconic luxury British sports car manufacturer has an exciting opportunity for a Battery Systems BMS Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the on-time specification and delivery of the Battery Management System for the High Voltage Batteries, across the different electrified programmes.
 
The Battery Systems BMS Engineer will:
Be responsible for the release process of the given components, as well as similar components that could be provided by the same supplier.
Develop the architecture and requirements for the BMS design, then validating these requirements across different test properties, including rigs, Battery Test houses or vehicles, or using the Engineering Partners and Suppliers testing facilities.
Develop and coordinate test plans to ensure the BMS is fully validated by the time the certification is required.
Manage relationships with external and internal suppliers, including the on-time requirement cascade, including decomposition and requirement elicitation, Quality control, DV schedule, etc.  
The Battery Systems BMS Engineer will have:
Experience within the automotive industry or similar domain experience
Engineering Degree in Electrical, Electronic and/or related field.
Experience in the delivery of BMS from concept to production.
Ability to challenge experts, consultants, and seniors by presenting measured opinion.
Passion for the advancement of hybrid and electric powertrain and vehicle technology.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, self-motivated, eager to take responsibility and deliver results with minimal supervision.
