I am currently seeking Forest School assistants to support an amazing Forest School setting within the Wrexham area.

Responsibilities of a Forest School Assistant:

Deliver opportunities for students to learn and express themselves.

Ensure that students are engaged, motivated and on task.

Manage any behaviour issues that may arise.

Follow school policies and procedures.

Maintain accurate records of student progress.

Requirements of a Forest School Assistant:

Must hold a level 2 or equivalent qualification in childcare.

Forest School trained ideally (this can be discussed)

Knowledge of Safeguarding.

Ideally Paediatric First Aid trained.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The ability to manage behaviour effectively

A positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate

Start the day at 7.30am to set up ready for the day with a finish time of 6pm (days to be discussed)

Registrations required to be a Forest School Assistant:

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, but if you do not have one, you can apply for a new one through Educate.

You must register with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) to work in Wales.
