Project Engineer - Infotainment Hardware Displays Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer – Infotainment Hardware Displays Engineer, who will work for our client, a luxury British car manufacturer known for producing high-performance sports cars. The successful candidate will design, release and approval of Infotainment components and systems to deliver required functionality to agreed cost, timing, and quality targets.
 
The Project Engineer – Infotainment Hardware Displays Engineer will:
Create & manage the commodity’s virtual & physical DV plan.
Support pre-production builds, ensuring build concerns are contained and resolved in the required timeframe.
Manage 5-year commodity strategy & develop relevant new technologies to implementation ready within agreed Function budget, resource & timing.
Lead cross-functional team to deliver components to the programme QCWFT (quality, cost, weight, function, and timing) requirements.
Support packaging activities to ensure best practice locations to ensure good performance levels and customer satisfaction for reception.  
The Project Engineer – Infotainment Hardware Displays Engineer will have:
Requirements writing (including use of S/W tools such as Polarion, Doors, Jama etc.)
Excellent technical engineering background and a comprehensive knowledge of using calculation and analysis to drive design.
Knowledge of CAN tools to diagnose vehicle behaviour and faults.
Complete knowledge of Product Development cycle from concept to launch completion.
Extensive knowledge of automotive development systems e.g. specification, releasing, concerns, containments, gateways and sign off documentation.
Excellent written communication skills for requirements writing & concerns management.
