I’m recruiting for a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager for a long-established manufacturing company with a strong commitment to safety. They take pride in their innovative approach and are dedicated to the well-being of employees. They are seeking a HSE Manager to maintain their high safety standards.
Position Overview:
As a HSE Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of the manufacturing plant and its employees. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of plant health and safety operations, conducting inspections, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, chairing meetings, and leading accident investigations. If you are a dedicated safety professional with experience in manufacturing and a commitment to continuous improvement, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities as a HSE Manager
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Conduct risk assessments and COSHH assessments.
* Manage and lead accident investigations, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
* Chair daily production meetings to address safety concerns and promote a safety-first culture.
* Perform inspections and tours of the manufacturing plant to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
* Take responsibility for HS at external sites and installations
* Lead health and safety meetings and facilitate discussions with employees at all levels.
* Work towards or maintain NEBOSH certification.
* Conduct ISO45001 audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety programs and initiatives.
* Provide guidance and training to employees on health and safety best practices.
Key skills as a HSE Manager
* NEBOSH certification or working towards it.
* Proven experience in health and safety management in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to conduct accident investigations, including RCA.
* Proficient in chairing meetings and promoting safety awareness.
* Experience in conducting risk assessments and COSHH assessments.
* Knowledge of 45001 audit processes and implementation.
* Commitment to continuous improvement in health and safety practices.
