Role: Ecommerce Merchandiser – Castleford

Salary: up to £42K per annum

Working Hours: Monday – Wednesday 8:30-5 office based. Thursday - Friday working from home. 4pm finish Friday.

General overview:

As an E-commerce Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in maximising sales and profitability by optimising the online presentation of our products. You will be responsible for curating and managing the online product assortment, ensuring that our website showcases a compelling and relevant selection of products that meet the needs and preferences of our target audience. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to execute merchandising strategies, drive traffic to our e-commerce platform, and enhance the overall shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Curate and manage the online product assortment to ensure a diverse and appealing selection of products that align with our brand image and target market.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop merchandising strategies and promotional campaigns that drive traffic, increase conversion rates, and maximize sales.
Conduct ongoing analysis of sales performance, website metrics, and customer feedback to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Optimise product listings, including product titles, descriptions, images, and pricing, to enhance search visibility, improve click-through rates, and drive sales.
Implement merchandising tactics such as cross-selling, upselling, and product bundling to increase average order value and maximize revenue.
Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to stay informed about market dynamics, pricing strategies, and emerging opportunities.
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure accurate inventory management, timely product launches, and seamless order fulfilment.
Continuously evaluate and optimize the online shopping experience, including website navigation, product categorization, and user interface design.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align on merchandising priorities, share insights, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
Stay up-to-date with e-commerce best practices, technology advancements, and industry innovations to drive continuous improvement and innovation in merchandising strategies.
Responsibilities:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in e-commerce merchandising or related role, preferably within the retail or e-commerce industry.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyse trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in e-commerce platforms, content management systems, and analytics tools.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a passion for driving innovation and delivering exceptional results.
Knowledge of SEO best practices, online merchandising techniques, and digital marketing strategies.
A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a willingness to take ownership of projects and drive initiatives forward
