MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician to join a waste/recycling site near St Helens.

As the Mechanical Technician, you will required to work as part of a night shift to carry out the maintenance on all mechanical assets.  Our client is a leading business within the Power Generation and Waste Management sector, looking for a mechanical technician to join their team.  

As the Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:

Carrying out routine and planned maintenance on mechanical equipment
Completing nightly engineering checks across the plant
Ensuring all breakdowns are responded to in a timely manner to ensure minimal downtime
Finding process improvements to increase site productivity
Working on a night shift rota  
Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:

A minimum Level 3 NVQ in Mechanical Engineering is essential
Extensive experience working with mechanical assets including conveyors, crushers etc.
Experience working within the Waste Management/Recycling industry is preferred
Royal Navy Engineers are encouraged to apply
The ability to work as part of a permanent night shift
