The Company:

My client specialises in providing acoustics, noise, and vibration consultancy services. They are looking for an Acoustic Consultant to join their team remotely, based around Manchester. They are involved in all stages of construction and work on projects related to building acoustics, environmental noise assessment, and vibration monitoring for various sectors including residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure developments. Their services often include noise and vibration surveys, sound insulation testing, and the design of noise control solutions. My client is known for their expertise in creating environments with optimal acoustic performance.

Notably, my client has their own research labs to engineer bespoke acoustic solutions. Furthermore, they offer their employee's Institute of Acoustics accredited courses that encourage professional development.

The role:

As an Acoustic Consultant, you will be completing field surveys on site, however the writing aspects of the role will be completed remotely.

Role responsibilities include:

Providing bespoke Acoustic solutions.
Undertaking various noise impact assessments on site.
Collating the data to write factual reports for clients.
Completing sound and noise surveys.
Writing factual reports including acoustic modelling, completed remotely.

The ideal candidate will have:

Minimum of one year of professional experience in sound and noise surveys.
Membership to the Institute of Acoustics (IoA), is preferred.
Relevant degree in Acoustics or Physics. An Engineering degree with relevant modules will also be considered.
Experience using Acoustic modelling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Cadna).
UK driver's license.
