Engage Talent Partners are working exclusively with our client to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a part-time basis.
Based South of Aberdeen, the company operate in the oil and gas, nuclear, renewables and industrial sectors and you would be joining them during a very exciting time. The business has enjoyed a successful year to date with some high-profile contract wins and aspire to grow over the next few years.
Working within a small finance team, this role will offer a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the month end close and preparation of Management Accounts in accordance with deadlines.
* Assist with all roles to support the accounting function, including
* Purchase Ledger
* Stock Control
* Expenses
* Payroll
* Issuing client invoices
* Credit control
* Posting and review of timesheet data
* Assist with bank payments and coordination of approvals
* Bank account reconciliations
* VAT reporting preparation
* Maintain Fixed asset register and post monthly depreciation charges.
* Timesheet review and input
* Receipting of goods inwards
* Monitoring Accounts Inbox
* Supplier statement Reconciliations
* Client/Vendor Set up
* Project financial forecast entry
* Credit Card Reconciliations
* Debtors/Creditors Review and reconcile Intercompany Balances monthly and raise invoices when required.
* Assist with the preparation of periodic reports
* Resolution of queries internally and externally
* Assist with the annual Audit preparation and review
The ideal candidate will be experienced working in a similar role and familiar supporting month end and preparation of management accounts as well as purchase ledger, credit control and payroll activities.
This is a part time role (c. 24 hours per week). The successful candidate will enjoy an hourly rate of around £14-£16 per hour, hybrid working and an attractive benefits package as well as a great work environment.
