Teaching Assistant (Full time)

£415 - £425 per week

ABC Teachers are currently seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a role in a well-established SEND school in Stoke-on-Trent. They are looking for someone to work with them full-time, on an ongoing basis.

About the role:

Mainly supporting 1:1 in class with students that have a range of moderate to more complex additional needs, including ASD, and some challenging behaviour.
Adapt to the needs of students and provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Assist the class teacher with general tasks, behaviour management and preparation of materials when required.
This will be a full time, long-term role starting as soon as possible.

About you:

To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will:

Effective communication skills, able to adapt to quickly changing situations and children’s individual needs
Strong behaviour management skills
Establish positive rapport with students and staff.
Passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives.
Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
