Do you want to support the set up of a brand new programme to help women with complex needs in Sheffield?

Do you have an understanding of the issues that women with no fixed abode face?
Our location in Sheffield has an exciting new opportunity to develop a brand-new role. It is a 12-month service which aims to create positive activities for women who are experiencing or recovering from; mental health issues, physical health issues, homelessness and substance misuse.
The aim of the role is to create and deliver a whole new programme consisting of a range of positive activities for women who have had or currently have complex needs. This role will also involve supporting women to progress with issues such as housing, substance misuse, mental health, physical health, domestic violence, sex working and so on.
This role will require some unsociable working hours, with occasional weekend work. This is a great opportunity for someone with knowledge and understanding of the issues facing homeless women to make a difference. We encourage application from people with lived experience of Severe Multiple Disadvantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
*
Take a lead on creating a wide range of activities for female service users within the community
*
Promoting the service to service users and external agencies
*
Supporting and managing a volunteer to help with the activities
*
Capturing feedback and data from the activities to measure the impact of the programme
*
Take a lead in coordinating an appropriate package of support for the service user.
*
Building strong positive relationships and negotiating with other stakeholders to help individuals receive the support, advice and guidance they are entitled to.
*
Creatively plan and deliver support for those at risk; empowering service users to contribute to their own support plan to identify realistic, achievable outcomes.
*
Conduct face to face contact with service users to proactively overcome barriers to them achieving. This includes initial assessment, offering ongoing support, and developing self-management plans on a range of issues: managing crisis, benefits and finances, mental and physical health, tenancy set up and sustainment, and resolving disputes.
*
Liaise closely and facilitate effective communication and cooperation with Housing teams, social care, voluntary, criminal justice, and substance misuse agencies.
*
Set up digital multidisciplinary meetings for the benefit of the service user
*
Fully document and evidence the work undertaken within 48 hours on several separate platforms.
Essential and Desirable Experience
*
Experience of creating and delivering activities for people with complex needs
*
Experience of supporting women with complex needs (substance misuse, sex work, mental health, physical health, domestic violence, homelessness)
*
Experience of developing trusting relationships based on the need of the individual rather than the needs of the service
*
Understanding the barriers facing people with multiple and complex needs
*
Experience of working in a trauma informed way with a person centred approach
*
Working in a creative and innovative manner to overcome barriers
*
Excellent interpersonal skills
*
Ability to quickly establish and sustain strong working relationships and build trust across a range of partners and stakeholders
*
Experience of managing a budget
*
The ability to work on own initiative and to prioritise workload to deliver targets
