We are currently seeking a talented and driven individual for the role of Transport Fleet Manager, to work across our busy network in Newark
The role is being offered on a full-time / part-time permanent basis we are very flexible depending on the candidate. However, as you'll be supporting multiple sites and the role is both field and home based, some flexibility is essential - this is logistics after all!

What you'll do on a typical day:

Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance of the fleet, resolving technical issues, trouble shooting problems, delivering value for money (cost savings) and ensuring the smooth operation of the fleet and related services

Review vehicle maintenance and servicing schedules, maintaining accurate records of vehicle inspections and services

Conduct thorough vendor audits, DVSA reportable investigations and weekly/monthly fleet damage reporting

Communicate effectively with repairers, customers, management, and internal teams, ensuring all stakeholders are appropriately aware of developments, progress, and changes that may have any impact on the business

Work in conjunction with Transport Managers to achieve a reduction in vehicle damage and cost

What you need to succeed

A technical and supervisory background in HGV vehicle maintenance and compliance, with a thorough knowledge of regulatory compliance in relation to HGV and ancillary equipment

A minimum of Level 3 City and Guilds Mechanical qualification or equivalent

Excellent knowledge of parts, spend cost and labour hours - this will be a large part of your role

A flexible approach to travelling
