Job Title: Bookkeeper/Payroll Assistant

Role Overview: Our client is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper/Payroll Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping and payroll, with proficiency in using Xero for bookkeeping tasks. You will be responsible for completing VAT returns and managing payroll processes. This role is office-based, offering a competitive package and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage bookkeeping tasks using Xero.
Complete and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
Process payroll for various clients, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Maintain regular communication with clients, addressing their queries and providing financial advice as needed.
Ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in bookkeeping and payroll, within an accountancy practice.
Proficiency in using Xero for bookkeeping.
Strong understanding of VAT regulations and payroll processes.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a supportive environment.
