Mechanical/Electrical Project Engineer
Groningen, Amsterdam
€75,000 + Package - Fully paid travel expenses (1 flight pcm) + shared accommodation & car + Pension + Healthcare + Bonus (equivalent to 10% of base salary)

We are representing a leading Data Centre Contractor throughout the UK and Europe. They have a history of delivering major projects for clients such as Googe, AWS, Equinix, Colt. Alongside delivering hyperscale Data Centres, they’re specialists in delivering high quality Commercial, Health/Pharmaceutical, Education, Retail.
As a result of winning multiple Data Centre projects across Europe, they are actively looking to recruit for their operational team. This is a great opportunity to join their growing team as the projects are huge and open a new world of Mission Critical prospects.
Role/Responsibilities:
* Read, review and understand project specific specifications.
* Procurement of sub-contractors, kit and plant
* Explore value engineering solutions.
* Design review – ensuring the electrical or mechanical services are ‘buildable’ and align with the project specifications.
* Assist with preparation of Contract Documents I.e. Method Statements, Risk Assessments, RFI’s, etc.
* Coordination and management of electrical and/or mechanical subcontractors
* Instruct and coordinate supervisors.
* Progress reporting
* Overseeing commissioning and testing
* Working with Quantity Surveyor on Commercial Accounts overseeing, including sub-contractor accounts and variations.
The Project:
The project you’ll be working on is a hyperscale data centre project in excess of £100M+. This opportunity provides the chance to work on highly technical mission critical projects, alongside working with skilled professionals across multiple divisions.
The ideal candidate:
* A minimum of a HNC in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (with an electrical or mechanical bias)
* Experience in Data Centres and healthcare/pharmaceutical is required.
* A minimum 4 years’ experience in an engineering role
* The candidate will show longevity in previous employment.
* Data Centre experience is necessary.
* Happy with a 17/4 rotation
