Are you passionate about hydraulic systems and eager to be at the forefront of innovation in engineering?

Join our client as a Rigger!

Established in 1989, our client is a renowned leader in providing innovative hydraulic and mechanical engineering solutions for the marine industry.

They specialise in designing, manufacturing, installing, testing, and maintaining bespoke hydraulic systems tailored to their clients' unique needs.

The company thrives on pushing the boundaries of what's possible in hydraulic and mechanical engineering. Their track record speaks volumes—they've consistently delivered groundbreaking solutions that redefine efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. From superyachts to naval ships, and commercial shipping to support vessels, their expertise spans across various marine sectors.

Beyond the marine industry, they also serve commercial markets such as shipyards, commercial fishing, renewable energy, oil and gas, mining, construction, and agriculture.

This is an extremely manual role, which demands not just strength, but finesse and a keen eye for detail. You will be a key part of the Mechanical Team; each day will be different and you will be able to adapt accordingly.

As a Rigger, you'll lead the charge in managing critical equipment essential for the seamless operation of vessels. Your mastery of cables, ropes, shackles, and beam clamps will be indispensable for lifting, shifting, and positioning heavy loads with unparalleled precision and safety.

From crafting to installing and repairing standing and running riggings, including intricate wire cables and resilient fibre ropes like slings and towing bridles, you'll hold a pivotal role in safeguarding the structural integrity of ships and boats. Seamlessly anchoring rigging gear by expertly installing and meticulously inspecting beam clamps, pad eyes, and other supporting structures will become second nature to you.

Your finesse and agility will shine as you navigate ships' equipment, pumps, motors, and structural components through tight spaces. Directing crane operations and meticulously planning for clearance and safety parameters will be integral to your daily tasks.

Your knack for traversing gangways, scaffolding, and uneven surfaces at varying heights will prove invaluable. Upholding the utmost safety standards, you'll rigorously test and inspect rigging gear for strength and adherence to OEM instructions. Your collaborative spirit and dedication to safety protocols will be deeply ingrained in your professional ethos.
