Turning Point is recruiting a Pensions Officer who will be based partially in Manchester City centre and partially at home.
Role Responsibility
Our payroll and pension function is based at The Exchange in Manchester alongside our People Services team.
As Pensions Officer, your duties will include ensuring accurate and timely deduction and payment of pension contributions; providing an effective administration service to meet the requirements of all pension schemes and contributing to the continuous improvement of our payroll and pensions processes.
The Ideal Candidate
The following experience is essential:
Understanding of pension auto enrolment legislation
Exposure of a salary sacrifice defined contribution pension scheme
Ability to use Microsoft Office applications to an intermediate standard
A practical understanding of confidentiality and data protection legislation
A strong knowledge of payroll and pensions legislation coupled with the ability to respond to and apply mandated changes
Experience of delivering a customer focused payroll service
Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
The following experience would be beneficial:
Experience of pension scheme starters, leavers and year-end administration including NHS and Local Government Pension Schemes
Experience of processing complex monthly payrolls with a large volume of employees
Ability to undertake manual calculations (including tax, NIC and pension deductions) in line with legislation
Experience using Itrent HR & Payroll software
