Senior Electrical Project Engineer

Job overview:

Our client is a well known National MEP Subcontractor, part of a larger Main Contracting business. They are delivering a project over £130 million MEP in the Reading area. As such, they are looking to source a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to co co-ordinate all Electrical engineering functions on this very exciting, well known project.

Role:

* Support the senior project team in the overall implementation of the engineering strategy and framework for the designated project

* Engage with the Subcontractors at all stages from ITT to Final commissioning and Handover.

* Ensure that Subcontract packages are delivered to programme, budget, safety and quality expectations/standards.

* Ensure packages comply with good design practice and relevant technical group standards.

* Ensure accurate and complete records are kept in accordance with the M&E control sheet, this should include; RFIs, CE’s, EWN’s, WPPs, ITPs, Record Drawings and other project communications/deliverables.

* The engineer will ensure that communication trackers are updated, regardless of platform self-generated registers.

* Ensure the relevant RIBA 4/5 design deliverables are reviewed, accurate and fit for purpose prior to works commence.

Qualifications / Experience:

* Bachelor’s Degree, HNC or ONC in Electrical or Building Services Engineering

* A suitable master’s degree may be advantageous.

* Previous project engineering experience is recommended.

* Several years of experience working in the engineering field.

* Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

* The ability to motivate staff.

* A positive attitude and willingness to work overtime if required
