SEND Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join the team of one of our stand out clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children with special education and behavioural needs and will assist in educational support.
Role: SEND Teaching Assistant
Type: Permanent
Location: Barnsley
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: £18,803 - £20,107 - Term Time Only Contract
Purple Mango Education have partnered with an exceptional SEND school in Barnsley that are looking for Teaching Assistants to support the growth of the setting. The school is a specialist education setting educating children and young people with severe and complex needs.
They are looking for Teaching Assistants to support their growth on the back of their ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to students, nurturing their academic, emotional, and social development.
* Assist students with alternative learning
* Provide one to one support for students who require additional help
* Collaborate with the schools learning team to create a progressive and positive learning environment
* Effective communication with students, parents and staff
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND, either in a school setting or similar environment.
* A genuine passion for supporting the unique needs of students with diverse learning requirements.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
* Educated with GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
