Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Design Engineer - 12 month contract (rolling contract) - North of England - Outside IR35 - Hybrid working

I am looking to speak with an experienced design engineering who is looking for a new role in the North East. The client is a engineering contractor who operate within electrical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create schematic and circuit diagrams.

• Collaborate with Interface Engineers to produce associated drawings.

• Integrate new designs into existing drawings.

• Provide drawings for substations systems and construction boxes for your clients so they can improve the transmission systems to cope with the future demands.

• Implement bespoke equipment into the drawings for the Grid.

• Converting all the drawings from the paper designs onto the software

Experience:

• Experience in the transmission and distribution industry or renewables

• Experience working either for or alongside National Grid.

• Must have an Electrical Engineering background.

• A sound understanding of Secondary Design Light Currents

• A solid understanding of the technical specifications relating to the substations and National Grid • Experience with Transformer replacement, CBF, SGT and DARs

Logistics:

• Office-based with an option for hybrid work.

• 12 months rolling

• Outside IR35

• 40 hour per week. Possibility to condense this into 4 days. Core hours are between 9 am – 3 pm.
