Jointer

To act as an NPG authorised Jointer within the Power Networks department.

As part of your day-to-day role, you are responsible for the following;

Key Accountabilities:

* To deliver works on DNO electrical assets as defined in the host DNO’s policies & procedures to time, cost & quality standards.

* The safety of both Linbrooke employees and clients/public who may come into contact with our day-to-day operations.

* Carry out site specific risk assessments on a daily basis.

* Quality & safety are maintained at all times on site.

* Attend safety and team briefs.

* Ensure vehicle, tools and PPE are maintained correctly.

* Be available to fore fill faults stand-by cover on a rota basis.

* Incident, close call and near miss reporting for operatives within their charge.

* The safe operational delivery of works as defined by the Delivery Manager.

* Accurate and timely reporting of completion of works onsite.

Interacts with:

* The Client and or its agents

* Linbrooke Industrial resource

* Sub-contractors

* Highways authorities

* Public

The above list is not exhaustive; you will occasionally be asked to undertake additional duties where it is reasonable and appropriate.

Essential

* Electrical craft background

* Northern Powergrid DNO authorisation – Full L.V. Mains Jointing - (Minimum 6 Months left)

* Northern Power Grid Card

* Full Driving Licence

* Emergency First Aid at Work for Electrical Incidents

* Manual Handling Practical

* NRSWA Card – 01 Signing, Lighting & Guarding

* CSCS Card

* Good interpersonal and communication skills

* Strong attitude towards safety

* Working knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental procedures

* Hand Arm Vibration

Desirable

* City and Guilds electrical qualification

* IOSH / NEBOSH or safety related qualification

* NRSWA Card - Excavation and Reinstatement Excavating in the Highway

Schedule

Monday to Friday with weekend working
