EH&S Coordinator  1st shift
Annual Salary $60,000 - $75,000
 
The Coordinator, EHS will be a leader in the development, deployment and continuous improvement of programs and systems that support environmental, health and safety excellence. Foster a culture of proactivity, accountability, engagement and sustainability through robust programs and processes. This key role will lead EH&S matters to ensure the Company meets or exceeds legislative, corporate and industry requirements, as well as best practice standards.
Ensures that the systems and processes for EHS comply with the requirements of Vantiva Guidelines and Policies as well as External Interested Parties (e.g., customers and legal requirements). 
Collaborates with the departments to ensure that the overall performance of the established systems and processes for EHS are verified and reviewed at planned intervals and communicated to Top Management. 
Plans and allocates strategically the resources needed for the sustained & effective operation of the established EHS processes.
Plans actions to engage, direct and support stakeholders to contribute to the effectiveness of the established EHS processes. 
Works in collaboration with relevant teams to promote improvements of the established EHS processes.
Plans and evaluates process conformance and performs EHS audits for various business processes.
Collaborates with other departments to ensure resolution of the EHS Issues. 
Determines the training and developmental needs related to EHS processes and initiates the trainings to be conducted to all relevant stakeholders.
Supports Corporate EHS plans and strategies.
Responsible for the individual development of direct reports.
Plans and establishes an annual budget for the EHS department. Ensures that departmental budget performance is efficient.
Participates and contributes to annual strategic planning.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
This job operates in a warehouse floor environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop computers, phones, photocopiers, fax machines, and filing cabinets.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
