Senior Mongo Database Engineer

Database Operations (DB OPS)
Take a leading role or actively contribute to database management tasks, encompassing the design of intricate logical and physical databases. 
Spearhead complex data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning initiatives. 
Conduct comprehensive planning, research, design, implementation, maintenance, and oversight of server-class databases. 
Devise and deploy robust security solutions, including adherence to Center for Internet Security benchmarks and rigorous auditing.
Innovate and validate next-generation database technologies.
Offer strategic guidance to management and multiple clients on pivotal data and database management challenges, influencing strategic decisions.
Provide technical leadership and insights into the future trajectory of database technology.
Formulate management policies, procedures, standards, and optimal practices. 
Foster collaboration and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to troubleshoot issues and achieve collective objectives.
Experience:
Proficient in building and maintaining a MongoDB Ops Manager environment. 
Skilled in implementing Kerberos and/or LDAP for authorization and authentication within MongoDB. 
Experienced in supporting MongoDB databases spanning multiple data centers. 
Proficient in managing MongoDB Shards. 
Proficiency in Pearl and/or Java scripting. 
Expertise in backing up and restoring MongoDB databases using LVM snapshots and Ops Manager backups. 
Proficient in crafting MongoDB Schema using Mongos. 
Skilled in configuring and fine-tuning MongoDB system parameters. 
Familiarity with utilizing MongoDB Ops Manager. 
Proficient in utilizing Jira and Agile methodologies for project delivery.
Additionally:
Deep understanding of MongoDB high availability (HA) strategies, including replica sets. 
Thorough understanding of replication and HA strategies. 
Experience with Terraform and/or Ansible.
Required Qualifications, United States:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in Database Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated proficiency through work experience, training, military service, or education.
