An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Permanent Internal Sales Representative to join our clients business based in Lichfield.

Established for over forty years as one of the UK's leading specialist construction accessory suppliers, the client has built-up an enviable reputation for providing a wide product range together with a rapid and efficient service.

The client is recognised as a market leader, supplying major contractors and blue-chip companies, and our continual development maintains and enhances this prominent position.

Role: Permanent

Based in Lichfield
Salary: £27,000 to £29,000 per annum depending upon relevant industry experience, plus 5% bonus
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week 8.30am to 4.30pm Mon-Fri, with a daily unpaid break of 30 minutes
34 days paid leave, including bank holidays
Pension: auto-enrolment at 4%, matched by the Company up to 5%

Mission

Based in the Sales Office, you will become an integral part of a busy depot dealing with sales enquiries over the telephone, Email enquiries and pricing jobs.

You will be advising customers on our vast range of steel products, negotiating prices and building relationships with customers.

You will represent the depot and assist with the growth of the business, working as a team to increase sales. You will ensure that the needs of the customers are dealt with quickly and efficiently whilst providing a service that ensures that customers return on a regular basis.

Previous experience within an internal sales / telephone sales role is essential is required.

Candidates will ideally have construction industry experience i.e. sales with ground workers, civils contractors, frame contractors etc

You must be sales driven, have excellent customer service skills together with a good telephone manner and the ability to work well within a team.

Mission - Support the Commercial Team's negotiation of high volume sales by acting as a point of contact for customers and supporting the activities of the External Sales Representatives

Act as a point of contact for customers to develop and maintain positive relationships

Respond to quotation requests from potential and existing customers
Deal with customer queries by providing answers with technical confidence and product knowledge
Respond to, or escalate, queries regarding sales processing, invoices and credit notes to ensure customer satisfaction
Follow up live quotations and negotiate within limitations
Process sales orders in a timely manner to ensure delivery to customers' requirementsProvide administrative assistance to the Sales team

Resolve Purchase Ledger invoice queries
Ensure the continuous process of general administrative duties
Obtain proof of delivery notes from third party suppliers
Support the activities of the External Sales Representatives by providing information or administrative assistance as required Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of the market position for the company's products and services

To continually develop an in depth knowledge of the group's products and services
To evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the main competitors in the industry and recommend strategies to maintain the group's position relative to the competition
