Site Engineer – Civils & Landscaping
Falcon Green is currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to work with a main contractor across a groundbreaking £116M mixed-use development project based in Cambridge that is due to run well into 2025.
This position requires an Engineer strong across civils and landscaping who can manage the remaining civil works on the project, and then continue onto the hard/soft landscaping.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing all aspects of the remaining civil works and onto landscaping.
* Working closely with subcontractors which involves keeping a daily diary of levels of work for each subcontractor
* Producing QA inspections and reports
* Going to weekly management meetings and liaising with other members of staff such as Site Clerks, Quantity Surveyors, and Health Safety Officers
* Instrument usage: Able to use EDM, Rotating laser level etc. as this will be required for as built surveys, QA, snagging etc.
* Efficient with construction management software programs i.e. Procore. We use tablets on site to record QA so will need to be able to use tablets/android.
* IT efficient, use of software programs, Microsoft programs, emails etc required.
* Good knowledge of design, drawings, details, specifications etc.
* Good knowledge on substructure, drainage, utilities etc.
* Attendance at daily and weekly progress meetings, coming prepared on the status of the works, any issues delaying works etc.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience working as Site Engineer
* Engineering Degree/Diploma or related degree
* Confident using Microsoft Office programs
* Working knowledge of equipment and systems e.g. AutoCAD
