Our South Yorkshire based client is currently looking for an experienced Product Process Manager to join their team! They are a very well established manufacturing business, part of a larger group of companies and Headquartered in Germany.

We are delighted to be supporting our client,  a leading provider of cutting-edge IT infrastructure solutions (Enclosures, Power, Cooling, Security, and monitoring), specializing in high-quality enclosures designed to meet the unique needs of modern businesses. As they continue to innovate and expand our product offerings, they are seeking an enthusiastic Product or Engineering Manager to join their dynamic team.

They are the world’s leading systems provider for Enclosures, Power Distribution and Climate Control, IT Infrastructure, Software and Services.

They are looking to recruit an individual who will manage and drive sales within our Power Distribution portfolio as well as driving strategy within the Energy & Power Sector. If you are a Technical Manager or an Engineering Manager with a strong electrical background then I want to hear from you. Ideally you will be located close to their factory in Rotherham although its not an absolute necessity. You can live anywhere, work hybrid with visits to the factory when required and will also include some overseas travel.

Job Summary:

As the Energy & Power Product Manager you will be responsible for managing the Power Distribution portfolio of products, creating strategies to drive sales of these products, and technically supporting the business.

You will also play a key role in developing our presence within the Energy and Power sector through marketing and supporting the sales team.

This role requires someone who has a good strong technical background, can communicate well and be able to teach and support others.

Enjoys looking at the overall opportunity and creating strategies to achieve the goal.

Responsibilities:

Product Lifecycle management:

Product Development and Lifecycle Management:

Collaborate with the wider business and head office to define product specifications, features, and requirements.
Manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life, ensuring products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities for product enhancements, new features, and market differentiation.

New Market Development

Develop and execute a strategic product roadmap for the Power Distribution product line, in markets that present as an opportunity.

Market Analysis and Customer Insights:

Conduct market research to understand customer requirements, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
Gather customer feedback and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate insights into product development.

Collaborate with European colleagues to share best practice on opportunity and developments within the Energy and Power sector.

Marketing:

Work closely with the marketing teams to develop effective go-to-market campaigns.
Support marketing in marketing collateral creation

Sales / Technical Support:

Train the sales teams on your relevant product set to enhance product knowledge and drive successful customer engagement.
Provide technical support to sales teams as and when required.

Competitor Analysis:

Monitor the Competitor's product performance and determine weaknesses that the business can turn into an competitive advantage

Qualifications:

HND / Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Proven experience within the Electrical Engineering sector, with a focus on busbar power distribution, Form 2 to Form 4 systems.

An ability to think strategically.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Results-oriented with a focus on achieving business objectives.
