Lingerie Fit Technologist

Our client is manufacturer of owned lingerie brands recruiting for a new addition to their Team, for a Fit Technologist. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for product, and have fit experience from within a similar garment technical role. We are open to applicants from a design background who have a technical background, and looking to develop new skills.

Lingerie Fit Technologist – The Job Description

* Responsible for technical fit of lingerie ranges for the brands from design concept to bulk production

* Organise, attend and manage fit meetings

* Work closely with Design to engineer new products, advise on commerciality and to identify, resolve potential risk/issues and ensure end product is fit for purpose

* Create and work on concept fit patterns when required

* Communicate clear fit and pattern amendments to the factory through documents and photographs to achieve fit requirements and critical path deadlines

* Create and maintain workbooks

* Liaise with factories on all technical fit and quality issues

Lingerie Fit Technologist – The Person Specification

* Ideal experience within a similar lingerie, swim or intimate apparel garment or fit technologist position (min. 3years)

* Good understanding/knowledge of lingerie fit requirements and how to implement these through the fit process

* Understanding of garment construction and manufacturing processes

* A knowledge of pattern cutting and grading (computerised / manual systems)

* Effective communication skills both written and oral.

* Good working knowledge of email and Microsoft Office Suite.

* Be able to work unsupervised in an accurate, methodical and organised manner with attention to detail.

* Strong interpersonal skills. Confident, team player, flexible.

* Well organised, ability to prioritise and multi-task

* Able to travel offshore as required
