£44,000 Basic with excellent overtime and bonus and OT £47,000 to £65,000 open ended + 33 Days Holiday + Pension + Career Development
Working 4 rolling shifts, 4-week cycle, 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, 10pm to 6am Sunday to Thursday and then a weekend shift 6am to 2pm Wednesday to Sunday Typically Electricians can earn between £47,000 and some £70,000 depending on how much or little overtime you would like to do.
Ideally you will have experience of Industrial Electrical Maintenance, Panel, Fault Finding and ideally working on motors some of which are up to 100KW, experience of PLCs would be an advantage but not essential.
This is an exciting and very varied role working with a well-established local business. Ideally you will have Maintenance Electrician experience within a Manufacturing environment or heavy industry. The work is varied, you could be maintaining lifting Cranes, installing panels for HVAC, looking after Breakdowns and Planned Preventative Maintenance etc anything and everything electrical on the site. If you have High Voltage AO training that would be an advantage but not essential, we can train the right candidate. More importantly we are looking for someone who enjoys and takes pride in their work.
The Role:
1. Working within a team of skilled technicians to resolve operational problems.
2. Troubleshooting and testing equipment and controls.
3. Seek to improve operational efficiency and reduce down time.
4. Carry out PPM’s and reactive maintenance in line with the maintenance system.
5. Contribute to new installations and project work.
6. Work independently on their own shift.
7. Work alongside the mechanical team, where both skill sets are essential.
The Person
1. A recognised apprenticeship
2. High Voltage AP training desirable not essential
3. Hold C&G 17th or 18th Edition IEE Regulations qualifications.
4. C&G level 3 or HNC in Electrical (or equivalent).
5. Knowledge of 3 phase systems, motors, inverters, pumps etc.
6. Good understanding of PLC’s desirable not essential.
7. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
8. A positive, proactive can-do attitude
9. A high level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
10. Good effective problem-solving skills.
11. Ability to work under to deadlines in a busy environment.
