Pure are delighted to be working with a leading Global manufacturer based in Chelmsford. It supplies a wide range of industries across the world, and due to continued expansion they are now seeking an experienced Process Engineer on a permanent basis who is passionate about marial processes required to produce technical products, and ensure the highest quality standards.
Your role will be to play a pivotal role in supporting the manufacturing processes applied to ensuring the successful production of high-quality products. Your expertise will drive efficiency, optimize processes, and guarantee processes and products meet stringent quality standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to help deliver exceptional RF products to customers in the Medical, Marine, Industrial and Defence markets.
 
Key Competencies and Skills required for this position include:

Provide technical support to the processing and manufacturing teams, ensuring production runs to specification and schedule.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to root cause promptly to minimize product losses. Processes used include : Chemical processing, plating, furnacing, welding, vacuum pumping.
Identify areas for process improvement within the material processes applied to products.
Analyse production workflows, implement efficiency enhancements, and reduce waste to increase overall productivity.
Take ownership of maintaining and improving quality standards of the applied material processes.
Monitor process performance, perform root cause analyses for defects, and implement corrective actions to ensure products meet established quality benchmarks and specifications.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures, and quality control protocols.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are available for reference.
Provide technical reports to support implementation of new processes or improvements to existing processes.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement by actively seeking out opportunities to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and increase process control. 
The ideal applicant will possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience;

Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical, Material Science, or similar. Alternatively HNC and 3-5years experience.
Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in process optimisation, root cause analysis, and quality control methodologies. Such as 8D, 6 Sigma.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure
Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration
Chemistry knowledge, at any level.
Thermodynamics and its impact upon material properties and manufacturing processes.
Joining techniques (TIG welding, brazing, induction heating) 
 
This is a full time, permanent position paying a competitive salary, and comes with a range of attractive benefits. You will be working a 37 hour week, Monday to Friday, 07:30am-15:15pm with an early finish every Friday. There are also overtime opportunities available during busy periods.
