A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical & Instrumentation Design Engineer to join Exciting Processing Plant in the St Austell area.

With no day ever being the same the Electrical & Instrumentation Design Engineer role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class organisation.

Role & Responsibilities:

Ensuring that Electrical and Instrumentation aspect of the plant are designed and installed in a safe working manner and are easily able to maintain
Ensuring new designs and modifications have health and safety designed in.
Witnesses Electrical and Instrumentation panel manufacturing, testing, commissioning work, and assists in commissioning / start-up of system.
Managing electrical and instrumentation design; during the engineering, fabrication, construction, hook-up and commissioning phases for all projects
Develops and designs systems - specifying controls philosophy for HMI, SCADA and DCS able to be explained to third parties.Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

5 years of experience in a relevant field or time served in an electrical & instrumentation design role
Understanding of PLCs and Automation
Knowledge of UK regulations regarding electrical systems
Understanding of electrical power distribution and protection for high, medium and low voltages (switchgear, transformers, motor control centres, lighting, automation cabinets, etc)Package and Benefits:
