We’re seeking a Team Manager Harrow. London to support our children and young people alongside our foster carers.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Team Manager to manage, lead and supervising a skilled team of Supervising Social Workers and Family Practitioners, with a focus on reflective and relationship-based practice that focuses on the outcomes and needs of children first and has ambitions for seeking stability and permanence in the centre of you work.

You will work within a fostering management team working towards and deliver against our strategic objectives, including our, Retention and Recruitment strategy for foster carers, our overarching Children’s Services improvement plan and development plans work across Nort West London,

As a Team Manager, you will embed a high-performance consistent culture by helping your team to continually develop their skills so they can achieve the best outcomes for our children, young people.

Through reflective supervision meetings with your team, you’ll champion their personal and professional growth. Alongside your role as a people manager, you will provide oversight on all children and young people, ensuring quality standards are maintained and championing restorative practice, working with foster carers, children and young people to reduce risks, build on strengths and achieve positive outcomes together.

About you
You will have a strong understanding of fostering with significant post-qualifying experience gained within statutory social work. You will have the following skills:

* a social work qualification and registered with Social Work England

* experience of supervising, mentoring and coaching social workers and students

* be able to demonstrate strong knowledge of Fostering Minimum Standards, Safeguarding and Fostering Legislation and Care Planning Regulations.

* experience of leading and managing change within teams, which is founded on engagement and co-design with families, partners and your team

* a good understanding of children’s legislation and process

* experience of leading and managing change within teams

* demonstrable experience of promoting good practice that improves outcomes for children, and an understanding of offering high support and high challenge to get the best out of your team
