Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Snowmaking Manager to oversee our snowmaking operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in snowmaking technology, team leadership, and a passion for winter sports. This role is crucial in ensuring optimal snow conditions throughout the season, enhancing the guest experience, and maintaining the resort's reputation for excellence.
The Snowmaking Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of snowmaking activities including managing the snowmaking team and safely operating snowmaking equipment regularly.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000. However, actual pay will be dependent on experience. All our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions
• Safely manage snowmaking crew including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Maintain all snowmaking equipment and machinery including compressors, pumps, control systems, and anything else associated with the snowmaking operation
• Advise and recommend purchasing decisions for equipment, capital investment, design and operation
• Help lead and direct the design, planning and installation of snowmaking expansion and repair projects
• Implement long term strategy for energy efficiency, reducing water consumption and minimizing snowmaking builds within the parameters of seasonal temperatures, operation dates and event calendar
• Oversee and direct all summer maintenance projects
• Able to drive ATVs, side x sides and manual transmission vehicles
• Prepare and manage to annual budget
• Ensure timely and accurate pay for all employees
• Maintain positive working relationship with all departments
• Other duties as assigned
