As a Supplier Quality Engineer you will play a crucial part within the Quality Team and the wider business in their consistent appetite for growth. Hours: 8.30am - 4.45pm Mon-Thurs & 8.30am - 3.00pm Fri
Job Responsibilties
* Act as the primary liaison between the factory and suppliers regarding quality discrepancies.
* Address supplier-related quality issues.
* Foster internal customer relationships and collaborate with SQA Commodity Engineers to enhance supplier development.
* Provide suppliers with feedback on quality discrepancies identified within factory processes (e.g., Goods-in, assembly lines, lab).
* Issue IQNs (Initial Quality Notifications) to suppliers.
* Initiate 8D investigations with SQA Commodity Engineers and oversee resolution.
* Validate supplier root cause analyses and implement permanent corrective actions in coordination with SQA Commodity Engineers.
* Report on the progress of 8D investigations.
* Regularly collect data and report KPIs.
* Review and approve deviation requests.
* Support and cooperate with the Global SQA team.
* Conduct supplier visits, as needed, in collaboration with SQA.
* Participate in the New Product Introduction process by assisting with Engineering and Manufacturing pilot builds.
Skills and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Supplier Quality Engineering role.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting both electrical and mechanical engineering drawings.
* Experience working with EMS suppliers preferred.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
