Infrastructure Support Engineer

Connect-IT has partnered with a leading company in Lymington to find a talented Infrastructure Support Engineer to join their growing IT team. In this role, you'll be the hero behind the scenes, providing critical support for their server infrastructure and providing internal users with the technology support they need to succeed.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and resolve server-related problems, ensuring optimal performance, uptime, and security.
Troubleshoot user issues related to servers, applications, network connectivity, Windows Desktops, and Office 365. Provide clear explanations and solutions to a diverse range of technical problems.
Manage server configuration, including user accounts, security protocols, system updates, software application installations and updates.
Implement and support backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of server configurations, troubleshooting procedures, user guides, and software installation procedures.
Collaborate with internal teams on IT projects, providing technical expertise and support for server infrastructure integration, migration, and software application deployments.
Work effectively with developers, network engineers, and other IT professionals to resolve complex technical issues.

We're looking for someone who:

Minimum 3+ years of experience in a technical support role, preferably with a focus on server administration.
Has a strong foundation in server administration.
Owns experience with VMware and Microsoft Active Directory.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys troubleshooting.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.Perks and Benefits
