Job Overview:
We currently have an opening for a Pipefitting Instructor. This role involves teaching, monitoring, coaching, and assessing learners, including pre-employment assessment and testing. The instructor will support both internal and external training delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a foundational understanding of company-wide and discipline codes, standards, and working practices.
Perform basic engineering tasks in line with Business Operating Procedures (BOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
Provide support services as required by the Project Engineering Manager or Project Manager, ensuring quality and timely technical outputs.
Governance:
Comply with national laws/regulations.
Adhere to company-wide and discipline-specific BOPs and WIs, following standardised working practices.
Innovation:
Recognize the need for innovation and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Communication:
Build and leverage an internal relationship network to influence decision-making and meet requirements.
People Development:
Take responsibility for personal professional development as part of the companies talent management ethos.
Job Requirements:
Experience:
Extensive experience working in a craft trade/site role within the relevant sectors (Nuclear, Petrochemical, Oil and Gas, Pharmaceutical, or Thermal).
Teaching/instruction experience combined with experience or qualification in coaching/mentoring.
Qualifications:
Trade-specific Level 3 qualification.
Instructional Techniques, City & Guilds, or Cert Ed or PTLLS, CTLLS, or DTTLS.
TDLB D32/D33 Assessor, A1 or TAQA, TDLB D34, V1 or IQA.
CCNSG Safety Passport and ECITB ACIC Approval.
Skills:
Good literacy and IT skills.
Ability to work to deadlines and respond to short notice needs.
Knowledge and application of Business Operating Procedures appropriate to allotted tasks and associated documentation.
Understanding of UK/EU laws and regulations applicable to services and products.
Knowledge of problem-solving and risk management techniques.
Familiarity with trade-specific equipment and assembly.
