Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in Belgium.

Responsibilities

Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and other engineering disciplines.
Oversee the design and development of electrical systems and components.
Utilize software tools for electrical design and simulation.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of electrical engineers.
Mentor and train junior engineers.
Collaborate with other departments such as mechanical engineering, software engineering, and quality assurance.
Plan and conduct tests to validate the performance and reliability of electrical systems.
Analyse test results and make design improvements as necessary.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during testing.
Create and maintain detailed documentation for electrical designs, specifications, and test procedures.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for project reviews.
Ensure that electrical designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and codes.
Interact with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary certifications and approvals.
Manage and control costs associated with electrical engineering projects.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in electrical engineering processes.
Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and expectations.
Provide technical support and address client concerns.
Identify potential risks associated with electrical designs and propose mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and cohesive designs.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Requirements

Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
Speaking Dutch is an advantage, but not mandatory
3+ years experience in the offshore wind industry.
MSc/MEng preferred or Ba with working experience.
Experience with (offshore) substations (design phase).
Critical mindset, process focused, interdisciplinary.
