Specialist Product Safety EMEA for Nordic-Baltic (m/f/d)

As the Product Safety Specialist for Nordic Baltic countries based in Berlin, you are part of our dynamic team in the unit Product Safety Services for EMEA which ensures that sales & marketing of our chemical products comply with BASF, Nordic-Baltic, and European regulations.

• You check, validate, and release safety data sheets for our BASF products sold in Nordic-Baltic area according to BASF guidelines and according to the valid national and European chemical regulations such as REACh and CLP.
• Besides managing the safety data sheet distribution, you also maintain and manage the master data and Poison Center Notification for agricultural products.
• In addition, you are the competent contact person for questions with regard to product safety and chemical regulations. You provide information to our customers and support the local sales team.
• You contribute your broad expertise to the design and implementation of guidelines as well as to the definition and optimization of processes.

• degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields of study
• first professional experience within the field of chemicals legislation (e.g. regional legislations, REACh, CLP) is an advantage
• knowledge of product safety and regulatory affairs
• experienced handling of Microsoft Excel as well as experience with SAP modules; EHS is an advantage
• fluency in English; ideally proficiency in a Nordic language (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish), or alternatively a willingness to learn one
• strong customer orientation, as well as the ability to work in a team and matrix organization
